I am extremely pleased with the professional service provided by Lincoln and his team. They pruned a large Silver Maple in front of my home that is vulnerable to high winds and installed a cable to help prevent a large limb from falling on my garage. We planted the tree over 40 years ago and they were able to leave it looking symmetrical which was important to me. They cleaned up as they went along and left the yard looking as if they had never been here. I appreciate their professionalism. Sylvan Tree Care did an excellent job removing dead branches from my very large willow tree, and a box elder that was rotted. They cleaned everything up, and the price was reasonable. We were in dire need of help when a tree fell on our property in a wind storm in October of 2017. EVERYONE was extremely busy...so much that we had to leave messages. I first met Lincoln in 2014 just after moving to Vermont. A large tree was over and touching a corner of our roof. He did a marvelous job and his price was more than reasonable. This year we had a tree fall at night. Fortunately it fell away free m our house. It did, however, cause me to assess trees which might prove a danger to our house. Lincoln went over everything with us and helped I decide which trees needed to be removed and which trimmed. The final tally was removal of about 7 trees and a similar number trimmed. These were very tall trees. The price he gave us was quite reasonable. On a Monday morning he and his crew arrived, worked all day, arrived again Tuesday morning and at the end of the he day everything was completed, all trace of trees, leaves and sawdust removed. The yard had been raked. We highly recommend Lincoln Centers of Sylvan Tree Service for any tree work you require. You will never meet a more pleasant and professional gentleman.

Sylvan Tree Care is incredible! First of all, Lincoln, is a smart, genuine, gifted and very honest humble man. His crew is equally credible, pleasant and their work was as amazing as Lincoln's. Lincoln is professional, reliable, and communicative with regards to scheduling and was right on with his estimate. It has been a wonderful experience working with Lincoln Earle-Centers at our camp and our home.
At camp we took down several 40′ cedars and some birch trees. All trees were dropped exactly where we wanted them to drop. Lincoln took special care not to harm our berry bushes when dropping the trees at camp.
At our home Lincoln was excellent in dropping a 60′ Elm tree with four trunks. Lincoln climbed each one the four trunks and safely and professionally laid each section of the four trunks down between telephone wires and our home. And that was after cutting down a monster 50′ pine tree. Lincoln is very smart and works safely at all times.

I wanted to write in response to the request for information about tree care to reiterate the professionalism and excellence of Lincoln Earle-Centers and Sylvan Tree Care. In dealing with post-storm chaos on our modest back hillside, Lincoln went out of his way to create a safe and efficient removal of large, tenuously situated trees. He spent eight hours in a giant maple, living off crackers and water, as he untangled its branches from another tree, removing a certain threat from our home and property while saving the life of another beautiful 100 year old maple. His prices are ridiculously under-representative of his level of knowledge and skill. As a customer and neighbor, I cannot give him enough praise in this arena.

Oct 11, 2015Sylvan Tree Care, Marshfield, just completed a great job of tree trimming on Clarendon Ave: a maple, birch, cedars and removal of two boxwood trees. The group worked quietly together as a team of three, with each team member demonstrating exceptional competence. After watching them work awhile, I could see they not only respected the trees themselves, they also appreciated the aesthetic look of each tree and the way it connected with the overall landscape. Plus, they didn't use a noisy tree chipper -- instead, they hauled off the limbs in a trailer and didn't leave any tree scraps on the ground. The biggest surprise came when the owner, Lincoln Earle-Centers, discounted my bill by $300 -- because they'd finished sooner than anticipated. Very impressive. I couldn't be happier.

We recently hired Lincoln Earle-Centers of Sylvan Tree Care in Marshfield to remove a 50-foot Spruce tree, which had considerably outgrown its space in our front yard, and cut back various other areas of overgrowth throughout our property. The entire process of working with him was seamless beginning with the initial contact, to performing a site visit, to providing a reasonable estimate, through to the successful completion of the work, the cost of which came in below estimate. In addition to his knowledge of silvaculture and skill in carrying out the work, he and his crew were professional and courteous, taking great care around our numerous perennial garden beds and landscaping and thoroughly cleaning up afterwards. We cannot recommend Sylvan Tree Service highly enough!

Apr 25, 2016We hired Sylvan Tree Care to take down four huge spruce trees on our property, as well as to trim our cedar hedge and remove a huge old log that had been rotting on the ground for many years before we bought the property. (If you're familiar with the layout of Sixth Street, take a drive up--you'll see the difference right away).
The owner of the company, Lincoln Earle-Centers, coordinated with my us before he came to do the work. He came out to give a free estimate and again to get a clearer idea of what we wanted. When he and his crew arrived to do the work, they were courteous, professional, and as unobtrusive as possible (given that they were dropping HUGE trees, that is!) They were very quick--they got all the work done in two days!! These guys are HARD workers!!

I know that Sylvan Tree Care has been recommended many times on FPF, but I just want to say, again, that they are incredible. Not only do they arrive when scheduled, but they do wonderful work and clean up so efficiently that you can hardly tell that they've been at your home. They are reasonably priced and the entire crew is kind. One of my kids likes to carve and the crew went out of their way to set aside a few pieces of cherry wood for him. Touches like that make for amazing customer service.

It seems that most every week or two, someone is seeking a recommendation for tree services in Central Vermont. I was one of those residents. I had read several highly recommended posts for Sylvan Tree Service. I read them carefully, and we sent Lincoln, at Sylvan, an e-mail about a tree we thought might have to be taken down. He promptly visited our home, looked at the tree in question, and said that the tree was healthy, that it could stand a trimming, but that it should not be cut down. Wow, were we thrilled. But we did ask him to return and thin out four trees on our front yard, and some cedars in the back of our home. This past week, at the time and date he had said he would be here, Lincoln and 2 others arrived, thinned, trimmed, cut suckers, picked up, raked, and hauled everything away. It looks fantastic! We could not be happier. And the price was most reasonable. We highly, very highly recommend Sylvan (insured, which is very important) for any of your tree services that you may need. We have found Sylvan and we will be calling them again next year, for other tree maintenance.

We highly recommend Lincoln Earle-Centers/Sylvan Tree Care. Lincoln worked with a small crew to take down more than a dozen large pine trees on our property last spring. He is an arborist, so he really evaluated the best way to complete the work with the least impact in terms of equipment. He was able to schedule us without too long of a wait and completed the job efficiently. His prices are very reasonable. We will be hiring him again next spring to take down a few more trees that need to go.

After losing a tree to wind I decided we had several trees next to our house which would do serious damage if they fell. Contacted Lincoln and he came with his crew and in two days removed several tall large trees. When they left everything was cleaned up as if they had not been there.
His prices are very reasonable, he and his crew professional and again a pleasure to be around. Do yourself a favor and call him for all tree needs.

If you're seeking superb professional tree care, I cannot recommend Sylvan Tree Care, Lincoln Earle-Centers and his team, enough. They are calm, warm, competent, fair, smart, smart, kind and so much more...we have worked with them twice--one a major clearing of lots of downed trees and the saving of a giant, old and still beautiful evergreen that had a split, high up (amazing to watch how they save giant trees, remove giant trees, leave all areas tidy, take away what you don't want, leave what you do, with ease and speed). Recently, a giant section of a tree fell on our beloved swing and seemed to torque the top, but once they tended to all the fallen limbs, the top popped right back into position--they were booked 6+ weeks out, but slipped us in, in less than a week, which they said might be possible if a job finished early. Aside from skill and speed, they listen, really listen, even to odd ideas (like saving a dead tree as a a kind of free form sculpture), they offer recommendations, answer questions and are collaborative problem-solvers, on the spot. These folx are gems!

They pruned a large Silver Maple in front of my home that is vulnerable to high winds and installed a cable to help prevent a large limb from falling on my garage. I first met Lincoln in 2014 just after moving to Vermont. A large tree was over and touching a corner of our roof. He did a marvelous job and his price was more than reasonable. This year we had a tree fall at night. Fortunately it fell away free m our house. It did, however, cause me to assess trees which might prove a danger to our house. Lincoln went over everything with us and helped I decide which trees needed to be removed and which trimmed. The final tally was removal of about 7 trees and a similar number trimmed. These were very tall trees. The price he gave us was quite reasonable. On a Monday morning he and his crew arrived, worked all day, arrived again Tuesday morning and at the end of the he day everything was completed, all trace of trees, leaves and sawdust removed. The yard had been raked. We highly recommend Lincoln Centers of Sylvan Tree Service for any tree work you require. You will never meet a more pleasant and professional gentleman.

It has been a wonderful experience working with Lincoln Earle-Centers at our camp and our home.
At camp we took down several 40′ cedars and some birch trees. All trees were dropped exactly where we wanted them to drop. Lincoln took special care not to harm our berry bushes when dropping the trees at camp.
At our home Lincoln was excellent in dropping a 60′ Elm tree with four trunks. Lincoln climbed each one the four trunks and safely and professionally laid each section of the four trunks down between telephone wires and our home. And that was after cutting down a monster 50′ pine tree. Lincoln is very smart and works safely at all times.

I wanted to write in response to the request for information about tree care to reiterate the professionalism and excellence of Lincoln Earle-Centers and Sylvan Tree Care. In dealing with post-storm chaos on our modest back hillside, Lincoln went out of his way to create a safe and efficient removal of large, tenuously situated trees. He spent eight hours in a giant maple, living off crackers and water, as he untangled its branches from another tree, removing a certain threat from our home and property while saving the life of another beautiful 100 year old maple. His prices are ridiculously under-representative of his level of knowledge and skill. As a customer and neighbor, I cannot give him enough praise in this arena.

Oct 11, 2015Sylvan Tree Care, Marshfield, just completed a great job of tree trimming on Clarendon Ave: a maple, birch, cedars and removal of two boxwood trees. The group worked quietly together as a team of three, with each team member demonstrating exceptional competence. After watching them work awhile, I could see they not only respected the trees themselves, they also appreciated the aesthetic look of each tree and the way it connected with the overall landscape. Plus, they didn't use a noisy tree chipper -- instead, they hauled off the limbs in a trailer and didn't leave any tree scraps on the ground. The biggest surprise came when the owner, Lincoln Earle-Centers, discounted my bill by $300 -- because they'd finished sooner than anticipated. Very impressive. I couldn't be happier.

The entire process of working with him was seamless beginning with the initial contact, to performing a site visit, to providing a reasonable estimate, through to the successful completion of the work, the cost of which came in below estimate. In addition to his knowledge of silvaculture and skill in carrying out the work, he and his crew were professional and courteous, taking great care around our numerous perennial garden beds and landscaping and thoroughly cleaning up afterwards. We cannot recommend Sylvan Tree Service highly enough!

The owner of the company, Lincoln Earle-Centers, coordinated with my us before he came to do the work. He came out to give a free estimate and again to get a clearer idea of what we wanted. When he and his crew arrived to do the work, they were courteous, professional, and as unobtrusive as possible (given that they were dropping HUGE trees, that is!) They were very quick--they got all the work done in two days!! These guys are HARD workers!!

I know that Sylvan Tree Care has been recommended many times on FPF, but I just want to say, again, that they are incredible. Not only do they arrive when scheduled, but they do wonderful work and clean up so efficiently that you can hardly tell that they've been at your home. They are reasonably priced and the entire crew is kind. One of my kids likes to carve and the crew went out of their way to set aside a few pieces of cherry wood for him. It seems that most every week or two, someone is seeking a recommendation for tree services in Central Vermont. I was one of those residents. I had read several highly recommended posts for Sylvan Tree Service. I read them carefully, and we sent Lincoln, at Sylvan, an e-mail about a tree we thought might have to be taken down. He promptly visited our home, looked at the tree in question, and said that the tree was healthy, that it could stand a trimming, but that it should not be cut down. Wow, were we thrilled. But we did ask him to return and thin out four trees on our front yard, and some cedars in the back of our home. This past week, at the time and date he had said he would be here, Lincoln and 2 others arrived, thinned, trimmed, cut suckers, picked up, raked, and hauled everything away. It looks fantastic! We could not be happier. And the price was most reasonable. We highly, very highly recommend Sylvan (insured, which is very important) for any of your tree services that you may need. We have found Sylvan and we will be calling them again next year, for other tree maintenance.

We highly recommend Lincoln Earle-Centers/Sylvan Tree Care. Lincoln worked with a small crew to take down more than a dozen large pine trees on our property last spring. He is an arborist, so he really evaluated the best way to complete the work with the least impact in terms of equipment. He was able to schedule us without too long of a wait and completed the job efficiently. His prices are very reasonable. We will be hiring him again next spring to take down a few more trees that need to go.

I first met Lincoln when I moved to Vermont in 2014 and needed a tree removed which was hanging over and touching a corner of my roof. I was very impressed that he does not use bucket lifts, cranes or chippers. He and his crew are amazing in their skills and are enjoyable to be around.
After losing a tree to wind I decided we had several trees next to our house which would do serious damage if they fell. Contacted Lincoln and he came with his crew and in two days removed several tall large trees. When they left everything was cleaned up as if they had not been there.
His prices are very reasonable, he and his crew professional and again a pleasure to be around. Do yourself a favor and call him for all tree needs.

I had some tree work done today by Sylvan Tree Care and I'd like to recommend them to others. Lincoln and Joseph did a wonderful job of explaining the different options for dealing with the trees that were putting some structures at risk, did wonderful work, and provided me with estimates for the future.

I highly recommend Sylvan Tree Care, located in Plainfield. Lincoln Earle-Centers is knowledgeable, polite, careful and his prices are reasonable. We've used his services several times on our own property and also to take care of trees on the Murray Hill property. Everything is cleaned up when he and his crew are finished.

MAKING RECOMMENDATIONI recommend Lincoln from Sylvan Tree Care. He just completed pruning all of my fruit trees and my lilac, plus removal of a neighbor's tree very close to my driveway. Local, family owned a licensed arborist, great job, on time and reasonable.

MAKING RECOMMENDATION Lincoln, the owner of Sylvan, is outstanding. He has done work for us for several years, and we were very pleased each time. And when they have finished taking the tree and branches down, they pick up, and you will never know they were there. Very reasonable. And a nice guy.

They removed several white pines, trimmed away low hanging branches and cleaned out numerous small seedlings that were crowding out a section of the yard. They did a wonderful job. He knows trees and what the trees need to keep them alive and safe on your property. Reasonable in cost, prompt in appointments, cleans up so well after the service, you would never know he had been there doing his arborist work.

If you're seeking superb professional tree care, I cannot recommend Sylvan Tree Care, Lincoln Earle-Centers and his team, enough. They are calm, warm, competent, fair, smart, smart, kind and so much more...we have worked with them twice--one a major clearing of lots of downed trees and the saving of a giant, old and still beautiful evergreen that had a split, high up (amazing to watch how they save giant trees, remove giant trees, leave all areas tidy, take away what you don't want, leave what you do, with ease and speed). Recently, a giant section of a tree fell on our beloved swing and seemed to torque the top, but once they tended to all the fallen limbs, the top popped right back into position--they were booked 6+ weeks out, but slipped us in, in less than a week, which they said might be possible if a job finished early. Aside from skill and speed, they listen, really listen, even to odd ideas (like saving a dead tree as a a kind of free form sculpture), they offer recommendations, answer questions and are collaborative problem-solvers, on the spot. These folx are gems!
